The purpose of this venture is to improve the standard of life , by initiating action at a level where it can directly and immediately start benefiting millions of people working in enterprises around the world.

Through this initiative, we hope to achieve four objectives:

1. To bring about an awareness of the important role employers everywhere can play in improving both - society and environment, and to stress their role as significant catalysts in the development of the areas and the communities in which they function.
   
   
2. To help speed up the process of eliminating unfair working conditions and unsafe work environments - not by legislation or by demanding adherence to standards - but by spontaneous and voluntary commitments - thus fostering trade and investments, at both national and international levels.
   
   
3. To provide a forum to bring together like-minded employers-all willing to learn and share their experiences-in this co-operative venture, which would provide a platform for assessment, information exchange, skill sharing and training.
   
   
4. To synergize labour, environmental and human rights concerns, and to mobilize efforts to prevent abuses at all three levels.
